Tottenham close in on new signing as Paratici works on four deals – sources

Tottenham are hopeful they can complete a new signing before the end of June as they work on multiple deals, sources have told Football Insider.

Having already secured a new loan deal for Timo Werner, Spurs are making progress behind the scenes on their next arrival.

Sources say the club’s transfer consultant and former managing director Fabio Paratici is leading the push for new signings, after Football Insider was told the Italian has held “exciting” talks with Ange Postecoglou about the summer business.

Spurs are working on potential signings including a centre-back, a full-back, another forward, and a new central midfielder as Postecoglou looks to revamp his playing squad.

Tottenham hope to land new signing within the coming weeks

Multiple players have been linked with moves to Tottenham this summer after Postecoglou’s late-season hint that a major overhaul of the squad is on the cards.

With Paratici also pushing for investment in the squad and leading talks behind the scenes, club chiefs are hopeful deals could get over the line soon.

Football Insider revealed that the club is targeting a new centre-back to provide competition to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Meanwhile, a bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is also under consideration, with Spurs closely monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has also been heavily linked with the switch from west to north London, with Postecoglou’s side tipped to beat West Ham to his signature.
