Tottenham can make a brilliant signing in £25m playmaker with 37 goal involvements
Tottenham Hotspur should be going all out to sign a £25m left-footed playmaker this summer transfer window.
The North Londoners are keen to add a number of profiles to the squad this summer and are offloading a number of players to do so.
Emerson Royal looks set to join AC Milan and Trot Parrot has just raised around £6.7m after his move to AZ Alkmaar.
That said, Tottenham should now be making approaches to sign a £25m-rated midfielder who’d be perfect for Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham should try to sign Matt O’Riley
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Celtic’s attacking midfielder Matt O’Riley in recent weeks following his sensational season in Scotland.
The 23-year-old netted 19 times whilst laying on 17 assists, taking his total goal involvements to a staggering 37.
With Rodrigo Bentancur and Giovani Lo Celso potentially on their way out, O’Riley would be the ideal man to replace their creativity in the middle of the park.
The Denmark international is thought to be available for a fee in the region of £25m, which is a feasible deal to do for the North Londoners.
Tottenham will face competition
Tottenham will face plenty of competition for O’Riley, should they launch a bid.
Atalanta are believed to be eager to land his signature and have already submitted a formal proposal over the last week believed to be around £17m.
Celtic swiftly knocked back their bid and it remains to be seen if the Serie A club will return with a second offer.
Leicester are also in the race, though, they are focused on trying to land Juventus’ Matias Soule at this stage.
The deal is there to be done for Tottenham
