Blow for Tottenham as Radu Dragusin agrees with another club
CalcioMercato recently asserted that Radu Dragusin has supposedly agreed to join Napoli following increased interest from the Serie A outfit in the Genoa talent.
According to the report, the current Serie A titleholders are eager to reinforce their defensive line, prompting club owner Aurelio de Laurentiis to actively pursue Dragusin, considering him a top priority for the team’s recruitment.
The report outlines Napoli’s earnest intentions in acquiring the Romanian defender, indicating ongoing discussions with Genoa. Allegedly, Walter Mazzarri’s squad is open to including two of their players, Alessandro Zanoli and Leo Ostigard, as part of the potential deal.
As per the outlet, talks have escalated following Dragusin’s affirmative response to the prospect of joining the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Contrary to this development, the publication notes Tottenham’s lack of action regarding the 21-year-old player, despite his expressed aspirations of moving to the Premier League.
This update from CalcioMercato surfaces shortly after Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas reported Spurs’ lack of concern over Napoli’s entry into the Dragusin pursuit.
In Our View
Despite Napoli’s interest, it seems unlikely for them to surpass Tottenham’s bid or match the salary offered to Dragusin. If the center-back inclines towards a move to North London, the Premier League campaign need not fret.
