Tottenham will accept £60M to sell and replace star who has reborn under Postecoglou

Despite Richarlison’s recent explosive play, a Tottenham insider claims that the team “would accept” a £60 million Saudi offer and “reinvest it” in someone else.

After Spurs spent £60 million to acquire Richarlison from Everton, he had a dismal debut. He only scored three goals in all competitions during his first year.

It seemed that his second season would be marred by his inability to find the goal.

Given that Harry Kane departed in the summer and that the Brazilian has more of the burden in front of goal this season, he probably would have been benched if he hadn’t performed well.

Richarlison, one of the primary attacking alternatives, has only scored once and assisted three teams after 12 league games this season.

However, now, something has clicked, and he is playing electrifying scoring form.

Richarlison has five goals in the last five games. His goals have all come in victories, indicating that he is working very hard for his team after a disappointing stretch during which he was out due to injury.

Recently, he has been associated with a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Spurs “would accept” Richarlison’s offer.
A Saudi Pro League team is reportedly expecting a “big offer” for the Brazilian. That came after rumours that Daniel Levy will want the return of the £60 million he spent for the striker.

However, it was before to the beginning of his insane run, so the likelihood of him being sold today is undoubtedly reduced.

A Tottenham specialist says that may not be the case.

Despite his recent form reversal, he told Tottenham News that “I do still think the club would accept that and sell him if the Saudi League offered what we paid for him.”

“We would reinvest a fee of £60 million in somebody else, as it would be considered good business.” But for the time being, let’s just hope he continues to play and score goals.

Richarlison’s acquisition of a striker is not ideal.
He also thinks Richarlison would now have difficulties if he were to acquire a striker.

“I believe that signing a striker in January would kill Richarlison’s confidence,” the analyst said.

“So long may that continue, he’s finally settled into the side and has been connecting well with the likes of Brennan Johnson and Son Heung-min.”

In fact, Richarlison’s form would suggest that there is little confidence in his ability to continue the run if another striker were added to the mix. He may be able to continue if his confidence increases, since it is believed that he has the skill.

“He’s a proven Premier League player; he’s just not had that confidence at Tottenham, but we’ve seen the ability before. He’s done it in the Premier League before, at Everton.”

As Richarlison seems to be a man reborn right now, there doesn’t seem to be a need to bring anybody else up top. However, Spurs would be sorry not to intervene if he reverts to the subpar performance he was exhibiting.
