Tottenham told they need $10M to get transfer done – Small push required for January addition

Sebastián Cáceres, a defender with Club América, is a player Tottenham needs to acquire for at least $10 million in the January transfer window.

Journalist Jonatan Peña claims that having a person like that would guarantee that the transfer speculations involving the centre back “have a happy ending.”

Unexpectedly, Cáceres has been linked to a transfer to the Premier League for a number of months. Tottenham is reportedly one of the English clubs that is reportedly keeping an eye on him.

In fact, Spurs have often been put ahead of the pack in the pursuit of him, as Ange Postecoglou was anxious to add more defensive alternatives to his roster in January due to a history of injuries that have left him lacking in that area.

This was still the case earlier in the month when it was revealed that Tottenham, “in particular,” had their eye on the 24-year-old and considered him to be a reasonably priced way to bolster Postecoglou’s team.

The Uruguayan is presently valued at around €3.5 million, but Peña América claims they would “hold out for at least $10 million” before allowing Cáceres to go in January.

That comes to around €8.99 million, so if Tottenham is interested in the player, that might still be a great deal, and it also won’t be too much to ask Daniel Levy to part with his wallet.
