They will edge this: Chris Sutton has predicted Aston Villa v Tottenham winners at Villa

Spurs and Aston Villa will play each other on Sunday in a big Premier League match for the top four spots.

At the moment, Unai Emery’s Villans are fourth in the table, five points ahead of Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs in fifth place.

The last few games for both Villa and Tottenham have been better in the league. Seventh-tier teams have won their last three games, while Spurs beat Crystal Palace last week.

The claret-and-blue team also played in the Europa Conference League last week, drawing 0-0 at Ajax in the first game of their last-16 match.

Chris Sutton thinks it will be hard to call Aston Villa vs. Tottenham

There are experts who talk about and make opinions about Premier League games every day. One of them is Chris Sutton, who writes for BBC Sport.

He says that the game between Aston Villa and Tottenham is especially tough to call. He thinks that the Villans will win 3-2, but it’s just a gut feeling.

As Sutton wrote, “this season it’s been hard for me to make predictions because there don’t seem to be many games with outcomes that would surprise me.”

“Usually, there would be clear patterns that make it easy to guess which team will win or lose, but so far there haven’t been many of those, except for the games between the clubs at the very bottom of the table.”

“Instead, this is another game where Villa could win or lose by a score of 3-0, or it could end in a 3-3 tie.”

A while ago, Villa’s home form was very solid, but it has been getting worse over the last few weeks. I still think they will win, but it’s just a guess and not based on any real evidence.

Aston Villa and Tottenham will draw in a game with a lot of goals – view
What Sutton said about how tough this game is to call is pretty much true.

A lot of the results this season have been pretty random, especially for teams that aren’t in the running for the title or the basement spot.

They can both beat anyone on their best day, but they can also lose to anyone when things don’t go their way.

I’m not sure which way this will go, but I think it will end in a 2-2 tie. You could have any number of goals; a score of 1-0 or 6-3 wouldn’t surprise me.
