They must know what they are doing now – Agent insists Tottenham haven’t thrown away millions, just wouldn’t do that
Radu Dragusin joined Tottenham Hotspur from Genoa in January, and the Romanian media greatly inflated the player’s transfer value.
While it’s common for players to need some time to adjust to Premier League teams, there has been some worry as to why the defender hasn’t been Ange Postecoglou’s team’s regular starter as of yet.
Today, Romania’s Sport has a report on that topic, with an interview with agent, entrepreneur, and all-around football guy Victor Becali on Tottenham’s acquisition.
The spokesperson was quite explicit in saying that there is no need to worry about the move just yet since Dragusin would have ample time to fully adjust to Spurs.
Dragusin needs time to adjust. No, he’s done, he scored, and the guy next to him did too. Not at all! I also have no grounds for commending Draguşin. Even though he is a young lad, he faces fierce competition. It’s not simple for him to play against two of the top center defenders in Europe.
Becali also emphasized that Tottenham would not spend so much money on a player who is not required.
“I believe that those who toss millions like that are skilled at what they do.” They must be knowledgeable on what to do with the millions if they possess them.
Dragusin was signed by Tottenham from Genoa for €25 million. He has now played 229 minutes in six Spurs outings, although he hasn’t started in either of their past two Premier League games.
Spurs are undoubtedly calm about the deal, and despite the Romanian media’s constant alarmism, maybe Becali’s words will persuade them otherwise.
