‘The best’: Pedro Porro says there’s nobody on the planet as good as £42m Tottenham player

edro Porro has labelled one of his Tottenham teammates as the best in the world in his position.

Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channelPorro was playing a game where he had to decide between hypothetical three-vs-three teams.

Porro had to pick between a team that included Cristian Romero, Hernan Crespo and Enzo Fernandez and a team that included himself, Sergio Reguilon and Ansu Fati.

Unsurprisingly, Porro picked the first team, and, in the process, he reserved some special praise for Cristian Romero.

Pedro Porro says Cristian Romero is the best in the world

Porro spoke highly of his £42m Tottenham teammate.

“For me I’ll take the first team. Yeah, the first team. Respect, respect for Cuti, the best centre-back in the world, yeah,” Porro said.

“My brother,” Romero replied.

Cristian Romero is incredible on his day

While saying that Romero is the best centre-back in the world is a stretch, it hasto be said that he is a fantastic player who is incredible on his day.

Of course, consistency is king in football, especially when you’re playing at centre-back, but, on his day, there really aren’t many defenders in football who are better than Romero.

The Argentine is a World Cup winner for a reason, and if Ange Postecoglou can just find a way to get him playing at the peak of his ability on a weekly basis, then Spurs would have a genuine superstar of a defender on their hands.

Romero has bags of potential as a player, but, sadly, we don’t get to see the best of him every single week.
