Star man admits he regretted not leaving Tottenham this season

After more than eleven years at Tottenham Hotspur, Hugo Lloris left the team in January. Now, Lloris gave an explanation of his decision to go to America in order to join LA FC to the French media.

For both the supporters and the player himself, Lloris’s departure from the Tottenham team in January seemed like the end of an era since he was a pillar of the team throughout his whole time in North London.

The signs may have been obvious since Lloris’ play deteriorated last season, but Guglielmo Vicario’s seamless assimilation into Ange Postecoglou’s team served as a catalyst that ultimately expedited the Frenchman’s exit in many respects.

Lloris left by January 1st, prepared to start a new chapter in his career, this time with LA FC.

Lloris spoke about his choice to go and his family’s experience relocating to the US in an interview with Midi Libre.

“I’ve travelled to the United States on multiple occasions for Tottenham training camps, and we participated in the Champions Trophy in New York,” he said. However, I’ve never taken a vacation.

For my kids and my family, this is something new. You shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to see an area as well-known as California, which is a destination you should definitely visit. I could have regretted it if I hadn’t accepted.

Hugo Lloris has accomplished enough during his career to be deserving of a comfortable, stable retirement in America at this time. Since he is really one of the best players in the league, I hope he is content with his life there with his family and LA FC.
