Exclusive: Spurs to accept offers for multiple stars & then complete late midfielder signing

Sources tell Football Insider that Tottenham will get rid of a few players who aren’t very important to the team this month and then bring in a new midfielder near the end of the transfer window.

Pete O’Rourke, a trade reporter for Football Insider, said on the latest episode of the Inside Track Podcast that Ange Postecoglou is trying to “clear the decks” of players who aren’t part of his long-term plans.

Since several first-team players have already left this month, the club wants more to leave before they can sign a central midfielder, who is their top goal.

Neither has played much this season, and the club is willing to let them go if the right offers come in.

This month, a lot of players have left the club. Hugo Lloris went to play for Los Angeles FC in the Major League Soccer, and Eric Dier went to Bayern Munich on loan with the option to buy.

The club has also allowed a number of loan players to leave, such as Japhet Tanganga to Millwall and Sergio Regulion to Brentford.
