Medical confirmed: Spurs player now set to leave in the coming days amid £30M talks
Tottenham have started talks to sign Antonio Nusa from Club Brugge. They are also working to complete the departure of a player, and a medical has been set up.
Spurs have had a busy trade window.
Ange Postecoglou will be thrilled by Spurs’ real determination this January window. He had earlier asked the club to make early deals to try to improve his team.
The Australian made a public plea for new players and told Tottenham’s leaders in a roundabout way to get them in quickly, which chairman Daniel Levy and the search team did.
Last week, Spurs announced that they had signed RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner on a six-month loan deal with an option to buy. They also paid £25 million to sign Genoa’s Radu Dragusin as a permanent defender.
Along with these quick moves, the Lilywhites have quickly and effectively cut down Postecoglou’s team. Ashley Phillips, Djed Spence, Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga, and Sergio Reguilon have all left the club on loan.
Reports say Spurs could also try to sign Chelsea star Conor Gallagher. At the same time, many transfer sources say the north Londoners are in talks with Brugge to sign Nusa on a buy-to-loan-back deal.
Tottenham has been very busy in the market so far, and it looks like they will be even busier now that Ivan Perisic could be sold.
The legendary player for Croatia may have played his last game for the club after hurting his ACL earlier in the season. Hadjuk Split is now trying to make sure he has an emotional comeback.
When Hadjuk’s medical is due, Perisic will soon leave
Ryan Taylor of The Daily Mirror says that Perisic will be leaving Spurs soon and will be getting a test. The north Londoners are now finishing his departure.
It’s thought that the move will only be for a short time, as Perisic will be a free agent in the summer and Hadjuk will then offer him a one-year deal.
Levy and technical director Johan Lange are moving quickly. Perisic is now likely to be the next player to leave, since Tanganga joined Millwall on a short-term deal earlier this week.
