Spurs player to miss out Man United game with fresh injury
According to journalist Tom Barclay, Spurs might have to do without Giovani Lo Celso for the upcoming game against Manchester United due to a slight hamstring strain.
Injuries have plagued Tottenham Hotspur this season, preventing Ange Postecoglou from fielding his strongest starting lineup consistently in recent months.
Key players like Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Cristian Romero, and Pape Sarr have faced spells on the sidelines, creating a continuous shuffle on the injury list.
Despite the team’s injury woes, Giovani Lo Celso has been able to contribute positively under Postecoglou, tallying two goals and two assists in 12 appearances this season (per Transfermarkt).
Concerns over Lo Celso’s fitness mean that, in the absence of Maddison, Spurs will miss his creative prowess for the crucial match at Old Trafford this weekend.
The Sun’s Tom Barclay indicated via Twitter that Lo Celso might sit out due to a hamstring issue, stating it’s likely a precautionary measure. He suggested the hope is for Lo Celso to miss only one game and return swiftly.
Spurs supporters lament the ongoing injury setbacks, hoping Lo Celso’s absence won’t be prolonged. With a need for creativity in midfield, attention now turns to Dejan Kulusevski to step up in Lo Celso’s absence.
