Spurs-linked winger suffers major injury which could scupper transfer hopes
According to reports, Tottenham may no longer be interested in signing Roony Bardghji because the player has hurt his ACL and will likely not be able to play again until at least 2024.
Bardghji has been getting a lot of attention for his outstanding play for Copenhagen this season. The winger scored 11 goals for the Danish team in 2023–24 (Transfermarkt).
Several sources have said in the past few months that the Lilywhites are keeping an eye on the teenager’s growth (Fabrizio Romano – YouTube).
In fact, the winger himself talked up the idea of moving to Spurs. In an interview with Aftonbladet in February, he said that he was really looking forward to playing with his fellow countrymen Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall at N17.
To their disappointment, Tottenham will not be able to make a move for Bardghji this summer. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the teenager has now hurt himself.
According to the reporter, the Swedish shooter tore his ACL and will not be able to play for six months.
In our Opinion
Bardghji is a good player, but I don’t think Tottenham made a move for him this summer. Some of the players Ange Postecoglou seems to want the most are Nico Williams, Raphinha, Ebereche Eze, and Samuel Illing-Junior.
