Spurs expected team line up vs Palace as Postecoglou selects Richarlison replacement

An important phase of the season is about to begin for Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham team.
When Tottenham returns to play in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon against Crystal Palace, Ange Postecoglou will have to make some selections.
Following a two-week break for Postecoglou to work with his squad following the dismal Premier League loss to Wolves, he will face Oliver Glasner and his team on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Glasner just won his first game in the dugout with Palace.
Left-back The return of Destiny Udogie to training will significantly improve Postecoglou’s team’s performance; but, Pedro Porro’s recovery from his hamstring injury will take at least one more week, according to Postecoglou. Richarlison, the forward, sustained a knee injury against Wolves that will prevent him from playing until after the international break. Postecoglou may play the squad’s captain, Son Heung-min, across the center, setting up a duel between Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner to enter the team on the left of the front three.
With Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur vying for a position in the middle of the park between Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison—two players who are probably more likely to hold onto their spots due to their offensive prowess—the Tottenham manager must also choose who plays as the team’s anchor man in the midfield.

On Thursday morning, Destiny Udogie did not participate in Tottenham’s open training session at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Italian has resumed his training this week, so this weekend’s game should be possible.
Pape Matar Sarr in central midfielder
Over the last 12 months, Pape Matar Sarr has established a strong reputation for himself at Tottenham. Sarr may face competition for a starting position, but Postecoglou needs his drive and adaptability.
