Spurs reportedly eyeing approach for 2 star gems ranked among the world’s best 20 youngsters
Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly monitoring two players who have recently been ranked among the top 20 youngsters in the world.
In recent weeks, speculation has linked Spurs with Real Madrid talent Arda Guler and FC Copenhagen prospect Roony Bardghji.
Spanish outlet Sport claimed in February that Tottenham is interested in potentially pursuing Guler in the summer, as the youngster has faced challenges for playing time at Real Madrid due to injuries this season.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported in January that Bardghji has caught the attention of Spurs staff following an impressive first half of the season at Copenhagen.
Both players have now been included in Goal.com’s NxGn list of the 50 best youngsters in world football.
Guler is ranked at number five, ahead of talents like Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo and Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa, both of whom have also been linked with Tottenham.
Despite being touted as Europe’s next big superstar, the 19-year-old has faced setbacks in his debut season at Real Madrid due to injuries.
Bardghji, on the other hand, is ranked at number 13, ahead of players like Newcastle United’s Lewis Miley and Lucas Bergvall, who is set to join Tottenham.
With 11 goals from 33 appearances this season, Bardghji has been praised for his electrifying style of play as a winger.
Tottenham has been successful in attracting promising talents in recent years, with players like Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie becoming integral parts of the first team.
Under the leadership of Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have demonstrated their ability to attract top talents, as evidenced by Radu Dragusin’s decision to join Tottenham over Bayern Munich and Bergvall’s choice of Spurs over Barcelona.
