Spurs defender told he does not have a future at the club

Journalist Dan Kilpatrick believes Ryan Sessegnon, a defender for Tottenham, has little chance of staying with the team in the future.

Due to many injuries that have hampered his Spurs career, Sessegnon has missed about 700 games, or almost two years of football.

This season, his most recent setback happened when he was sidelined until January due to a hamstring injury he suffered during preseason training.

He played only 10 minutes in the FA Cup match against Burnley despite making a quick comeback, which kept him out of action for many more weeks.

After making his comeback with the U21s against West Ham, he played only 37 minutes before suffering another hamstring strain. This time, the injury required further surgery and he was expected to miss three months, which put an end to his season and raised questions about his future with the team.

Speaking on Sessegnon’s predicament on The Tottenham Way Podcast, Kilpatrick said that the player would probably be moved, giving him the chance to look for a new opportunity elsewhere.

He declared:

“In my opinion, Sessegnon ought to and most likely will go. More than anybody, he would gain from a new beginning. In the summer, he was much sought after, and Conte had a deep affection for him. He doesn’t seem to have much of a future at Spurs, but I hope he can get healthy again.

According to rumours, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy may decide to let go of Sessegnon during the summer transfer window in an effort to find a successor for the defender who is prone to injuries and could mark the end of his time with the team.
