Spurs could now have one superstar than Mikey Moore in their freak talent

The current state of Tottenham Hotspur may be somewhat unstable, but the club’s future is undeniably promising.

While experienced players like Heung-min Son and Cristian Romero provide leadership, the Spurs squad is infused with youthful talent such as Destiny Udogie, Pape Matar Sarr, and Radu Dragusin, all of whom are under the age of 22.

Furthermore, Ange Postecoglou’s ranks were strengthened this summer with the additions of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and Wilson Odobert. These young stars have already started making their mark in the first team.

Despite spending heavily on these talents, including £30 million on Gray, it is Tottenham’s homegrown product, Mikey Moore, who is drawing the most attention.

Moore has quickly become one of the brightest prospects at the club, and his early season performances have captured the imagination of both fans and pundits.

As a rising star in Tottenham’s academy, Moore follows a long tradition of producing steady midfielders like Ryan Mason, Harry Winks, and Oliver Skipp.

However, his emergence may be the most exciting since Harry Kane. The 17-year-old has already forced his way into Postecoglou’s senior setup, earning five first-team appearances this season.

Moore notably impressed in his first start against Ferencvaros in the Europa League, despite the match not entirely going his way.

In that game, Moore attempted seven dribbles, delivered one key pass, and maintained an 80% pass accuracy, according to Sofascore.

If not for poor finishing from Timo Werner, Moore might have registered an assist, and his continued development suggests many more chances to impress will follow.

This young winger appears to be a superstar in the making, but another talent is making even bigger waves outside North London—Luka Vuskovic.

While Moore is drawing attention domestically, 17-year-old Vuskovic has gained significant recognition on the international stage.

Tottenham secured his signing from Hajduk Split last September for £12 million, though he will not officially join the squad until 2025.

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches, Vuskovic has been described as a “freak athlete” and “freak talent” by data analyst Ben Mattinson. The Croatian defender has already proven his worth during loan spells, most recently at KVC Westerlo in the Belgian Pro League.

Vuskovic’s attacking threat has been particularly notable. In just 10 games this season, he has already scored four goals and provided one assist, including a brace against Beerschot.

Such performances have drawn comparisons to Barcelona legend Gerard Piqué. Fellow Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol even tipped Vuskovic to become “one of the best” in his position in the years to come.

A look at Vuskovic’s stats compared to Tottenham defenders Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero highlights his potential.

While excelling in Croatia and Belgium is different from competing in the Premier League, Vuskovic’s performances suggest he is well-prepared for the challenge.

Despite his youth, he neither looks nor plays like a 17-year-old, and Tottenham can eagerly anticipate his arrival next summer.

Given the defensive vulnerabilities Tottenham showcased during their recent loss to Brighton, Vuskovic’s arrival cannot come soon enough for a team in need of a stronger backline.

Tottenham may have a gem in Mikey Moore, but Luka Vuskovic could be an even more significant addition to the squad in the years to come. The club’s future is bright, and these two young talents symbolize the potential for greater success ahead.
