Spurs receive major boost as Paul O Keefe shares Micky van de Ven’s return date
The summer signing from Wolfsburg, the Dutchman has been one of Tottenham’s top players.
He had an immediate effect, teaming up with Cristian Romero to establish a strong defensive pairing that helped Spurs get off to a fantastic start to the season—winning eight games and drawing two.
But in addition to Spurs losing to Chelsea, the match resulted in long-term injuries for two of their greatest players, Maddison and van de Ven.
O Keefe revealed some encouraging news yesterday, indicating that the defender has made significant progress toward his recuperation as he begins practicing individually with the ball on the grass for the first time since his injury. Prior to this, it was believed that he would be sidelined until February.
He continued by even providing a timetable for his comeback. Regarding his anticipated comeback date, O Keefe said, “Maybe Burnley FA Cup.”
The game is scheduled on January 3rd versus Burnley. This suggests that Van de Ven may make his comeback one month sooner than anticipated. Ange Postecoglou will be quite happy with his early availability.
