Spurs are trying to beat three Premier League rivals to £25M

Football.Alasdair Gold of London’s The Guardian says that Tottenham Hotspur aren’t the only team interested in Antonio Nusa. The Lilywhites are reportedly trying to beat out Premier League rivals and clubs from across Europe to sign the winger.

Spurs are in talks with Club Brugge about Nusa, who has become one of the most exciting forwards in the Belgian top flight over the last 18 months. This news came out earlier today.

It has been said many times in the last 24 hours that Brugge wants €30m (£25.7m) for the winger and wants him to stay with the club until the end of the season (The Athletic).

Spurs have a lot of other teams that want Antonio Nusa

Gold now says that over the last year, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and other big teams from across Europe have shown interest in Nusa.

The Norwegian player is thought to be interested in playing in England, so he says Ange Postecolgou’s team is now trying to “edge to the front of the queue” to get him.

Gold says that Tottenham would have to pay around £30 million for the 18-year-old player and pay back the loan.

Finally, the reporter says that Postecoglou likes Nusa for “several reasons,” including the young player’s attitude and work ethic.

In Our View

For a young player who has only played in Belgium’s top league for a year, some might think that £30m is a lot of money. However, Nusa has a very high ceiling and could be about to explode.

After hearing that Tottenham is making moves for the 18-year-old, it wouldn’t surprise me if a few more clubs join the hunt for him.
