Spurs already have five of world football’s best wonderkids in their future team
Tottenham Hotspur’s 2024/25 campaign has been one of frustration and disappointment, leaving fans and the club yearning for brighter days ahead. Entering the season with ambitions of building on their fifth-place finish from the previous term and closing the gap to Premier League heavyweights like Manchester City and Arsenal, Spurs have instead found themselves languishing in 14th place with just nine games remaining.
A top-half finish now seems like a daunting challenge, as they trail 10th-placed Bournemouth by 10 points. However, there remains a glimmer of hope for Ange Postecoglou’s side to salvage their season by clinching the Europa League title in Bilbao at the end of May. Achieving this feat will be no easy task, with a tough quarter-final clash against Eintracht Frankfurt standing between them and a place in the final four.
Amid the struggles of the senior squad, one of the rare positives for Tottenham this season has been the emergence of their young talents. While established players have often failed to deliver consistent performances, teenagers Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray have stepped up and flourished under pressure.
Both players have embraced the challenge of regular game time during a difficult period, showcasing maturity and skill beyond their years. Their seamless adaptation to the demands of the Premier League has been a silver lining in an otherwise turbulent campaign.
Bergvall and Gray are not the only young stars making waves at Tottenham. The club boasts a crop of exciting teenagers who hint at a promising future for the North London side. Mikey Moore, who made his senior debut at the end of last season, has featured in 16 first-team games this term.
While the 17-year-old has faced some challenges in his Premier League starts—a natural consequence of his age—his standout performance against AZ Alkmaar in October demonstrated his immense potential. Moore’s dazzling display on the wing that night offered a glimpse of the special talent Tottenham have in their ranks.
Competition for places among the young talents is fierce, with South Korean winger Yang Min-hyeok also vying for a spot in the team. The 18-year-old joined Tottenham from Gangwon FC in January and is currently gaining valuable experience on loan at Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.
Although Yang has been in and out of the QPR starting lineup, he has shown flashes of his undeniable talent, suggesting he could become a key figure for Spurs in the years to come.

Another name generating excitement is Luka Vuskovic, the highly-rated Croatian center-back who signed for Tottenham from Hajduk Split in September 2023 at just 16 years old.
Unable to join Spurs until he turns 18, Vuskovic has been honing his skills on loan at Belgian side Westerlo, where he has impressed with his defensive prowess and remarkable aerial ability. The teenager has even contributed seven goals from his center-back position, underlining his attacking threat from set-pieces.
Vuskovic is widely regarded as one of the brightest defensive prospects in world football, and his arrival at Tottenham this summer could mark the beginning of a long and successful career in North London.
The recognition of Tottenham’s young talents extends beyond the club, with Bergvall, Gray, Moore, Vuskovic, and Yang all featuring in Goal’s prestigious NXGN list of the top 50 teenage wonderkids in the world for 2025.
Gray leads the Tottenham contingent at 13th, followed closely by Bergvall at 17th. Moore ranks 22nd, Vuskovic sits at 26th, and Yang rounds out the quintet at 43rd. This global acknowledgment underscores the potential of these players to become future stars, not just for Tottenham but on the international stage as well.
While the immediate focus for Tottenham is on ending their trophy drought and achieving success in the Europa League, the emergence of these young talents offers hope for a brighter future.
If Postecoglou and the club can navigate their current challenges and build a cohesive team, the likes of Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Vuskovic, and Yang could form the core of a side capable of competing for honors in the years to come.
For now, Spurs fans will be eagerly watching their young stars’ development, knowing that the foundation for future success is being laid amidst the trials of the present.
