Doing everything to sign £35M who is convinced by Tottenham’s Project

Tottenham still has work to do, and the January transfer market is open. It’s clear to everybody that the north London club lacks defensive depth.

It doesn’t take a football whiz to see why Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have been starting at center back lately; it’s a bit of an issue.

Tottenham’s first priority this month is to sign a new center-half, and the team has been considering a few possibilities.

Spurs and Radu Dragusin are said to have reached a personal terms agreement, although FootMercato claims Tottenham is also considering other options.

Players like Jean-Clair Todibo are reportedly much sought after by Spurs. In reality, this source claims that Tottenham is making a serious effort to recruit the defender and has made a very definite step in that direction.

Todibo is reportedly very impressed with Tottenham’s initiative, but as always, there is a little more to the tale than meets the eye.

Yes, it will not be simple to complete this agreement.

Nice is not in a hurry to sell, although Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested.

Tottenham naturally wants to complete this move as soon as possible, but this has all the makings of a protracted story that may go on forever with Chelsea and United both involved.

If this transaction takes too long, according to FootMercato, Tottenham will immediately turn back to Dragusin. That seems like a plausible scenario to us.

This is a signing worth waiting for since Todibo has been rated as a £35 million player in the past and has been excellent in Ligue 1 over the last several years. However, Tottenham is running out of time as they attempt to finish in the top four, and every point matters during this stretch of the season.

Spurs are still looking for a center back, so this is something to watch.
