Newcastle line up shock offer for star as Postecoglou to push again for dream replacement

It is said that Newcastle United could make a surprise move for Tottenham player Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg before the end of the transfer window next week.

TEAMtalk reported that Ange Postecoglou is thinking about cutting ties with the Denmark international because he wants to take on a new task elsewhere.

Saudi Arabian clubs are keeping a close eye on Hojbjerg, but it’s not clear if he would be willing to move to the Gulf State.

Aaron Stokes of The Chronicle says Newcastle could make a surprise loan move for Hojbjerg since they didn’t get Kalvin Phillips.

“There is one name that has been circulating quietly for Newcastle for a few weeks now, and that is Hojbjerg, who is at Tottenham on loan.”

“I haven’t heard for sure, but it’s a deal that Newcastle fans might hope to make.”

Hojbjerg is a player who isn’t getting enough play at a top six club. They might be able to make a good loan deal for him.

To get a new player before the transfer window closes, Tottenham might have to step up their search if they let Hojbjerg leave.

Gallagher could take over for Hojbjerg at Tottenham.

It was already claimed by TEAMtalk that Postecoglou really wants to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Some people in charge at Chelsea, though, think that the England star might have to be sold to help balance the books.

Because Gallagher went to Chelsea Academy, his sale would be recorded as a 100% return.

Spurs are still very interested in the player, and as we already said, if Hojbjerg goes, they might be tempted to make a late offer for him.

Gallagher’s current contract is set to end in 18 months, and talks to extend it have come to a standstill.

There have been rumors that Chelsea would look at bids around £50 million for Gallagher this month. It’s still not clear if Spurs would be willing to go that far, though.

It is important to note that Chelsea’s management is ready to sell Gallagher, but Mauricio Pochettino still doesn’t want to.

As of now, he has played all 23 Premier League games that the 23-year-old has been eligible for and has been captain for 12 of those games.
