‘Not up to the level’: Tim Sherwood says 23yr old Tottenham player is actually not good enough

Oliver Skipp, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, is allegedly not talented enough to play for a top-four team, according to Tim Sherwood.

Last night, Spurs defeated Nottingham Forest with great ease. Although Ange Postecoglou’s team was superior and well earned the three points, they are currently in a difficult situation due to Yves Bissouma’s red card. Sherwood believes Skipp isn’t qualified to take his post.

Oliver Skipp of Tottenham, according to Tim Sherwood, is “not up to the level.”

After receiving a red card last night, Yves Bissouma will now miss four games for Tottenham.

The Mali international could not play for Spurs until the beginning of February since he will then go to participate in the African Cup of Nations.

The only players available to start with Pape Matar Sarr in midfield are Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp, since Rodrigo Bentancur is also out due to injury. This leaves Tottenham lacking alternatives in the center of the pitch.

According to Sherwood, Skipp is not good enough to play for a Premier League team in the top four.

Sherwood said on Premier League Productions in reference to Bissouma’s red card: “They need him.” They are hurt.

“Bentancur is currently sidelined with an injury. Skipp is most likely not currently capable of competing with the league’s top five players. The boss does not really like Hojbjerg.

Skipp is capable of helping Tottenham.
Even if Oliver Skipp, 23, is not as good as Rodrigo Bentancur or Yves Bissouma, he can still function in the center of the park.

Ange Postecoglou has made some rather reliable midfield decisions. His chosen one beside him is Pape Matar Sarr, although Bissouma has been his primary guy.

In the next weeks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is probably going to take Bissouma’s spot, but we firmly believe Skipp ought to have a chance.
