Can Do Much Better: Swedish Media Share Verdict On Kulusevski’s Action For Sweden V Portugal Last Night
Last night, Tottenham players played in foreign games. One of them was winger Dejan Kulusevski.
Kulusevksi began his international break earlier than some Premier League players, like Brennan Johnson did with Wales.
Kulusevski’s Sweden played Portugal, but Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t on that Portugal team. It doesn’t really matter that the famous player is spending time with his family right now.
Sweden’s Kulusevski team lost to Portugal 5-2. After Viktor Gyokeres scored, the score was 4-0. Then it was 5-1 before Kulusevski set up Gustaf Nilsson in the 90th minute.
From how FotbollSkanalen in Sweden talked about the Tottenham player’s game, it looks like he could have done better.
“Worked on, but didn’t get much done. At the start of the second half, the right-hander was close to being down 3-1. And helped set up the 5-2 goal in a nice way. People who are going to be important can be asked to do more, though. They wrote, “Weak second.”
Kulusevski isn’t as good as he was with Spurs last year. He’s only scored six goals, and Jermaine Beckford recently said he was having a hard time without Harry Kane.
Kulusevski isn’t up to par.
Last season, Dejan Kulusevski showed how good he can be. But, as was already said, this season something seems to be missing, and that shows in how he plays for his country as well.
Of course, Portugal is just a better team right now than Sweden. In that case, Kulusevski doesn’t have to save his team alone.
But he is a very important player for them, and the Swedish media are right to ask for a little more.
Tottenham will only care about getting the winger back in shape for next week. Sweden, on the other hand, will see Kulusevski as very important to their plans for the future.
This means that the winger needs to score more goals and really grab games by the collar.
