Scheduled to advance: Romano shares latest on €30m transfer target, Ange wants him

The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Genoa’s highly-talented center-back, Radu Dragusin, and Tottenham Hotspur continues to brew, with recent reports indicating significant developments in the negotiations.

While discussions persist between the clubs, indications suggest that Dragusin has already reached an agreement on personal terms with Spurs.

Despite the absence of a final agreement between the two clubs for the 21-year-old defender, journalist Romano remains optimistic about the progression of negotiations.

Romano notes that Tottenham remains actively engaged in daily discussions and retains confidence in securing Dragusin, revealing that a new round of talks has been scheduled to further advance the negotiations.

Presently, Spurs have proposed an offer of €23 million, while Genoa remains steadfast, holding out for €30 million in exchange for Dragusin.

Additionally, Romano underscores manager Ange Postecoglou’s unwavering desire to acquire the services of the 21-year-old, a sentiment reflected in his update shared on X:

“Tottenham and Genoa have new rounds of talks already scheduled to advance on Radu Dragusin deal. Initial verbal proposal from Spurs is around €23m while Genoa’s asking price is €30m. Contacts will continue soon. Postecoglou still convinced: he wants Dragusin.”

Despite the gap in valuation between the clubs for Dragusin’s transfer, it remains relatively narrow.

Considering Spurs’ urgent requirement for a new center-back, there’s hope that chairman Daniel Levy won’t prolong negotiations over this marginal difference and will promptly finalize the deal.
