Romano confirm Postecoglou can’t do without strong 27yr old ace
Ange Postecoglou’s man-management abilities are recognized by Fabrizio Romano for bringing out the best in Yves Bissouma.
Many saw Bissouma’s arrival at Tottenham eighteen months ago as a huge coup, and Spurs supporters were ecstatic about the signing.
At Brighton, the 27-year-old had developed into one of the greatest players in the Premier League at his position, and it was anticipated that he would greatly improve Antonio Conte’s team.
But under the Italian, the Malian found it difficult to acquire playing time; in fact, the former head coach of the Spurs openly admitted that the midfielder was experiencing problems adjusting to the tactical demands of his system (The Athletic).
Under Postecoglou, Yves Bissouma is a player reborn
Since Posteocoglou joined the team in the summer, Bissouma has found newfound motivation, and this season, he has performed in a manner similar to his times at the Amex Stadium.

Romano has since clarified that Postecoglou’s close friendship with Bissouma and his forceful style are the only factors contributing to his comeback.
“Defense midfielder Yves Bissouma has benefited greatly from Postecoglou’s arrival in the summer,” the journalist said to CaughtOffside.
“The main reason for the Malian’s great season overall is his manager, even though he was shown the red card against Nottingham Forest on Friday.”
“Postecoglou has approached Bissouma at Spurs in the same manner that he has approached many other players during his career. He has been a straight shooter and has always had faith in the club.
“Postecoglou is skilled at giving his players a sense of importance, and he has successfully done so with Bissouma. The human element has been crucial for the interaction between the manager and the player as well as the athletic component.

Similar to Richarlison, Bissouma seems to be a confident player and a very sensitive person. To perform at their peak, these players need someone to put an arm around them and make them feel special. Maybe Conte wasn’t the best person to provide it, but Ange seems like she could.
