So disappointing for him – Postecoglou shares emotional update on Micky van de Ven’s injury

Tottenham Hotspur encountered another setback in their recent match as injury struck one of their key players, Micky van de Ven, during their 4-0 victory at Villa Park.

Van de Ven, the team’s primary centre-back, was forced off the pitch around the 49th minute due to an injury, adding to Tottenham’s ongoing injury concerns this season.

This injury is particularly disappointing for Van de Ven, who had already faced a two-month absence earlier in the campaign due to a hamstring injury sustained against Chelsea in November last year.

That initial injury had sidelined him for a total of 10 games.

Providing an update on Van de Ven’s condition after the game, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou expressed optimism, stating that the injury doesn’t seem to be severe based on the player’s assessment.

Postecoglou also praised Radu Dragusin for stepping in admirably during the match.

Since his €40 million transfer from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer, the 22-year-old has been a consistent presence in Tottenham’s lineup, starting in all 18 league games for which he has been available.
