that should keep him out – Postecoglou shares the latest on Brennan Johnson’s injury

An update about Brennan Johnson’s injury suffered during the match against Nottingham Forest has been given by Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

After taking a hard blow to the head while attempting to compete for the ball, the Welsh forward was substituted off during the first half.

Johnson was bleeding from a gash on his forehead and remained on the ground for a considerable amount of time while seeking medical assistance.

Despite his best efforts, he was swept off his feet and replaced by Oliver Skipp.

After the game, Ange gave a good report on the attacker, stating that he merely had a severe gash on his forehead and wasn’t injured enough to miss the following game.

Through Alasdair Gold, he stated:

“He ought to be OK. He just sustained a deep cut to his skull. Everything that ought to allow him entry. He had a cut on his head but no concussion.

Ange will be encouraged by this as the squad cannot afford any more injuries, especially at the busiest period of the year.

They have already lost Solomon and Perisic, and in a few weeks, they will also lose Heung-min Son.

Their next matchup is with an Everton club that, under Sean Dyche, is beginning to show signs of becoming a serious force.
