Postecoglou says we have still not seen the best of one Spurs player

Although Ange Posteocoglou lauded Dejan Kulusevski’s recent performances, the winger is still capable of reaching new heights.

Following James Maddison’s injury last month, Tottenham needed its offensive players to step up, and Kulusevski has raised his hand. For the last month and a half, Kulusevski has been the Lilywhites’ primary creative outlet in the final third.

The Swede has not only begun to score goals and provide assists, but he has also performed well in the number 10 position when called upon to fill it.

After Tottenham’s victory against Nottingham Forest, Gary Neville waxed lyrical about the 23-year-old, saying that the former Juventus youngster may develop into a £100 million player. The guy is now beginning to get the credit he deserves. (Sky Sports)

Will we see more from Dejan Kulusevski in the future?

Postecoglou expressed his satisfaction with the winger’s recent performance and acknowledged that the player’s center play gives the Spurs assault an additional element.

“I hope not, I think there’s more to come with Deki, he’s still fairly young age-wise as well,” the Australian coach said to Football.London in response to the question of whether we have seen the best of Kulusevski this season. He’s filled a variety of roles for us, so I’ve been pretty happy with him.

“Those who have been willing to kind of take on multiple roles—like him, Ben Davies, and Emerson Royal—are some of the reasons we’re making it through this phase. These players have had to play different positions for us at different points.

“Deki has been a true impact player for us this season, regardless of position, whether that’s out wide…I think it’s great that he’s playing inside because it expands our attacking possibilities.

According to Postecoglou’s remark, Kulusevski will likely continue to start as number 10 against Everton and in the next games. This is to be expected as the Swede has shown to be a far more dangerous player when allowed the ability to drift and pick up balls in his pockets.
