Postecoglou ready to seal move for another former Chelsea flop to Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly considering a summer deal for Portuguese sensation Joao Felix, according to Fichajes.net.
Timo Werner, a former Chelsea attacker, joined Spurs in January and has since made a name for himself in North London.
It has now been revealed that Ange Postecoglou has his eyes set on a different attacker who did not perform up to par during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Felix didn’t exactly blow everyone away during his second half of the previous season on loan at the West London club, and the Blues decided not to sign him long-term last summer.
The Atletico Madrid-owned 24-year-old was sent on loan to Barcelona last summer, but he hasn’t exactly made an impression there either, with only four goals in 18 league games this season (Transfermarkt).
According to Fichajes, Felix is currently on the verge of signing with Spurs, who are willing to provide the striker a second shot to revitalize his career.
Tottenham’s apparent interest in the Portuguese international is being driven by Postecoglou, an Australian who believes the attacker will be a significant “coup” for his team.
Felix’s aspirations are now believed to be to stay with the Catalan club until the conclusion of this season, despite the fact that the source also states that Aston Villa is showing interest in the attacker.

Felix will be able to express himself freely under Postecoglou’s guidance, as the Australian will release some of Felix’s strain. The 24-year-old’s difficulties at Chelsea and Barcelona make it doubtful that Atleti would ask for a hefty price for him. This transfer rumor seems like it could have some merit.
