When Tottenham Hotspur returns to Premier League play on Saturday, they will finally have the opportunity to atone for their loss the previous game.

Spurs were supposed to face Chelsea a week ago, but the game was postponed because of their involvement in the Carabao Cup final.

After losing 2-1 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 17, Tottenham entered the mandated break on a bad note.

Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace, a team in the middle of the standings, will be the opponent Spurs face next Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The loss of Richarlison has been a blow to Tottenham. The Brazilian sustained an injury against Wolves that will keep him out of commission for three to four weeks.

Postecoglou may now rearrange his starting lineup, with Son Heung-min most likely to take Richarlison’s spot as center forward.

Timo Werner, who is 27 years old, has a decent chance of entering the game on the left. This will be his chance to establish himself as a regular starter.

Werner hasn’t scored for Tottenham yet, but since joining on loan from RB Leipzig, he has impressed with his work ethic and enthusiasm.

The Independent claims that Tottenham’s employees are happy with his training endeavors. Now, he ought to get the opportunity to establish his worth versus Palace right away.

It will be interesting to watch how Werner does against the Eagles because of his pace, creative spark, and progressive play, especially in light of the fact that Joel Ward seemed to be a bit of a weak link against Burnley last week.
