Pedro Porro names three Spurs stars as the most skilful trio in the squad
Pedro Porro, reflecting on his time at Tottenham Hotspur, has highlighted the three most skilful players in the squad. During an interview as part of the club’s matchday program, the Spanish defender revealed his picks after being asked about the most skilful players at Spurs.
Porro had an impressive 2023/24 season with Tottenham, scoring four goals and providing seven assists across all competitions.
His standout moment was a 30-yard screamer against Burnley in the FA Cup, which was voted Goal of the Season by Tottenham’s Official Supporters’ Clubs. Despite his personal achievements, Porro faced disappointment when he was left out of Spain’s Euro 2024 squad.

When discussing the most skilful players at Tottenham, Porro initially joked about naming himself but then chose three midfielders instead:
James Maddison: Known for his creativity and technical ability, Maddison can perform special feats with the ball. His skillset makes him a constant threat in the attacking third.
Yves Bissouma: Bissouma is praised for his trickiness and agility, particularly when he’s playing at his peak. His ability to navigate tight spaces and maintain possession under pressure showcases his skill.
Giovani Lo Celso: Lo Celso is noted for his agility and silky smooth ball control. Despite limited chances, he demonstrates impressive technical ability when given time on the ball.
It’s somewhat surprising that Porro didn’t mention Heung-min Son, a player often celebrated for his skill and offensive prowess.
However, Maddison, Bissouma, and Lo Celso are also recognized for their technical abilities and contribute significantly to the team’s creative and attacking play.
Porro’s insight into his teammates provides a deeper understanding of the talent within the Tottenham squad and highlights the diverse skill sets that different players bring to the team.
