After long talk: All parties expect Spurs to agree a new contract with star player now

Reliable Tottenham source Paul O’Keefe has exclusively told The Spurs Web that all sides are optimistic that the club will agree on a new contract with captain Heung-min Son.

Tottenham and Son are allegedly equally comfortable about the situation, and there is no need to finalize a deal in the next weeks or months.

However, O’Keefe has indicated that both sides will likely meet again in the summer to discuss a potential new deal, as Tottenham want to secure their star player.

Tottenham and Heung-min Son are both seeking a new contract

According to Football Insider, Tottenham were prepared to give Son a lucrative new contract in December 2023, and the South Korean was eager to commit to the club for the long term.

Son is now under contract in North London until 2025, but his contract includes a provision that allows Spurs to extend his stay by an additional year, which Tottenham is likely to exercise.
