The player who may very well have a higher market worth than Kane is Pedro Porro, the Spanish right-back who spurned interest from Manchester City and is reportedly valued at a record amount by Tottenham this season.

In the past, Pep Guardiola’s team raided Spurs in search of a right-sided defender, and they did actually acquire Kyle Walker for a then-record £53 million in 2017.

Manchester City had been trying to get Porro back after letting him go in his youth, according to Football Insider back in January. However, Tottenham put a £100 million price tag on the 24-year-old, allaying any immediate fears.

Porro joined Spurs on loan in January 2023 with the option to buy for £40 million in the summer, which is now activated.
