Fabrizio Romano gives update on Postecoglou’s meeting relationship with Spurs board ahead of last game

Fabrizo Romano has given an insight into Tottenham Hotspur’s present relationship with Ange Postecoglou.

The Spurs head coach has had a tough week at the club, which included all elements of the Manchester City game, before, during, and after.

Postecoglou called it “probably the worst experience I’ve had as a football manager in a game” because he was concerned that if Spurs lost, people would doubt his ethics.

Tottenham’s defeat inflicted a huge blow to Arsenal’s championship chances, leaving the Gunners two points behind City going into this afternoon’s final Premier League matchups of the season.

Romano has dismissed any suggestions that Postecoglou is contemplating leaving the club.

Ange Postecoglou’s connection with Tottenham is positive

He told CaughtOffside that the connection between Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham is quite excellent, despite what he has said in previous news conferences.

“He wants to make changes to the squad this summer, which will happen, but he has a good relationship with the club.” He just wants to develop a winning attitude.

“Nothing negative at all.”

During Friday’s pre-Sheffield United news conference, Postecoglou made it clear that he was content with his role as Tottenham manager.

Tottenham will play their last Premier League game at Bramall Lane later this afternoon, hoping to finish fifth and qualify for the Europa League.

In Our Views

Ange Postecoglou will want to make big changes to his first-team squad this summer, having already established the groundwork with the additions of Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, and Brennan Johnson.

Hopefully, the club owners understand that they must strongly support Postecoglou in the market if we are to get into the top four and have a legitimate chance of competing for trophies.
