Advancing well, now at the final stages – Romano confirms Spurs are closing in on a deal; club prepared to accept loan offer
Fabrizio Romano gave the most recent news about Ivan Perisic’s future with Tottenham.
It looks like Perisic’s last game for Spurs has already happened, and there are strong signs that he will be going back to Croatia.
The Croatian club Hajduk Split really wants to sign Perisic, and talks are said to be going on between the two teams right now.
Last week, Mindaugas Nikoličius, the sports director of Hajduk Split, revealed that talks with Tottenham are still going on about the player.
It was claimed by Romano earlier that the Croatian club wants to sign Perisic and sees him as their top goal.
And he has now told us about the latest news. The expert on transfers says the deal is “moving forward well” and is now in its “final stages.”
He said that Perisic is excited about the move and that Tottenham is ready to accept the loan deal.
He told them what was new with X:
“EXCLUSIVE: Ivan Perisić’s return to Hajduk Split is going well and is now almost complete! Perisić wants to go back and make history at the club. I’ve heard that Tottenham is willing to let the player go on loan until the end of the season.
The winger, who is 34 years old, is out with a serious ACL injury that will likely keep him out until April.
Perisic moved from Inter Milan to Tottenham for free last summer while Antonio Conte was in charge.
During his time with Spurs, Perisic has played 50 times in all games and scored one goal and set up 14 others.
