Micky van de Ven now reacts after news coming out of Tottenham yesterday

James Maddison and Micky van de Ven are happy for Destiny Udogie, who signed a new deal with Tottenham yesterday.

Since the beginning of the season, Spurs have had a great deal of success. Numerous players have excelled under Ange Postecoglou’s system, but young Udogie stands out as the most intriguing one of them all. He has been nothing short of amazing.

Last year, Tottenham paid an initial £15 million sum to recruit Udinese’s Destiny Udogie (Sky Sports).

After spending a season on loan at Stadio Friuli, the Italian was sent back, but ever then, Udogie has been on par with the Premier League’s top left-backs. He was even likened to Patrice Evra by Gary Neville.

For Spurs supporters, the 21-year-old at left back has been a welcome change of pace. Tottenham is a very dangerous team because of his aggressive runs and quickness with the ball.

After seeing Udogie’s performances, Daniel Levy and company moved quickly to give him a new contract in order to preserve his worth.

For Tottenham fans, this is fantastic news as the Italian has now signed a new contract that will keep him committed until the summer of 2030.

Udogie celebrated his new deal yesterday by posting on Instagram. Both Micky van de Ven and James Maddison are happy for him.

“Fully deserved, brother!” the Englishman wrote. Avoid using it all at once.

“Yesss broerrr!” Van de Ven continued.

The Italian has the potential to rank among the world’s top left backs. Even though he is just 21 years old, he will only develop better under Postecoglou in the years to come.

We’re confident that major teams would be vying for Udogie’s signature if he just had a year or two remaining on his deal.

Tottenham is in a good position and won’t be losing him at all, even for a cheap sum, now that he is contracted until 2030.
