Major Boost for Spurs ahead of Everton game as injured player is spotted in full training
In spite of recent injury setbacks, Tottenham Hotspur has good news: Welsh forward Brennan Johnson could return to play soon for their next Premier League match against Everton.
During Spurs’ 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest, the young player suffered a face injury that prompted questions about his availability for the next games.
As he attempted to contend for the ball, the Welshman took a hard blow to the head.
Oliver Skipp had to take it off due to a serious wound on his forehead, as he was afraid he may get a concussion.
After the game, Ange said that he had sustained a severe cut on his forehead rather than a concussion and that he should be OK for the next game.
And with the most recent information from Sky Sports, Spurs supporters have even more good news.
The encouraging news was given by Sky Sports journalist Weir (via Tottenham News), who said that Johnson was seen during training earlier today:
“Brendan Johnson is out there (in training), which is fantastic news. On Friday night, after playing his former club for twenty minutes, he was dismissed.
Ange Postecoglou said after the game that Brennan Johnson just had a deep cut and not a concussion, so it’s encouraging to see him playing.
Spurs, who are already dealing with an injury crisis, will benefit from this.
Because of his availability, Kulusevski may fill in for James Maddison and Giovani Lo Celso as a number ten.
