James Maddison reacts with four words after seeing what £13m Tottenham player did last night
James Maddison gave Alejo Veliz some love on Instagram after he scored his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur in their loss to Brighton & Hove Albion last night.
Yesterday, Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls outperformed Spurs. At one time, they were down four goals, and things would have been worse if Guglielmo Vicario hadn’t been so brilliant. Veliz will remember the game for a very long time even if they lost.
Following his first goal, James Maddison of Tottenham delivers a message to Alejo Veliz
Alejo Veliz was acquired by Tottenham for £13 million in the summer from Rosario Central (BBC).
The Argentine was considered a player for the future and wasn’t even anticipated to contribute to the senior Spurs team until the end of the first half of the campaign.
Though he has made a few substitute appearances in recent months, his longest stint on the field was yesterday night.
Veliz scored his first goal for Tottenham after seizing the situation well. The objective should instill a great deal of confidence in him even if it had no effect on the outcome.
The young person celebrated his strike last night on Instagram. Among those who showed him some affection was James Maddison.

Heung-min Son’s international service trip means that Spurs won’t have him available for play next month. Then, Richarlison will be the primary guy, and he’s going to require help.
The only strikers Tottenham has at their disposal are Dane Scarlett, who was brought back from his loan period this week, Jamie Donley, and young Veliz.
Veliz is in a better position than them, and after his goal last night, we won’t be shocked if he plays more in the next games.
