Tottenham Hotspur forward Dejan Kulusevski has been spotted stepping up his recovery from a long-term knee injury that has kept him out of action since May.
The Swedish international, who has been sorely missed by fans and teammates alike, is finally making visible progress as he aims to return to full fitness before the end of the year.
Kulusevski sustained the knee injury in Tottenham’s clash with Crystal Palace towards the end of last season, an unfortunate blow that ruled him out of the Europa League final just ten days later.
At first, manager Ange Postecoglou had downplayed the severity of the issue, suggesting it appeared to be nothing more than a minor knock. However, further assessments revealed a more serious problem, and the decision was made for the winger to undergo surgery, forcing him into a lengthy rehabilitation spell.

Since then, the 25-year-old has not featured under new boss Thomas Frank, who took over the reins in the summer. The manager has been cautious about rushing his return, emphasizing that the club’s medical team is taking every step to ensure the player comes back stronger and avoids further setbacks.
At the end of October, Frank revealed that Kulusevski was not yet training on the grass, but new footage now paints a much brighter picture.
During the current international break, Kulusevski has been seen putting in the hard work while taking advantage of warmer conditions in Dubai. He has been joined by teammate Destiny Udogie, who shared clips of their joint training session on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the winger’s encouraging progress.
Under the supervision of a Tottenham coach, Kulusevski was spotted doing individual drills on the grass, moving freely and showing no visible discomfort. His focus and determination were evident as he worked through a series of exercises designed to rebuild strength and confidence in his knee.
While Tottenham have not provided an official return date, Frank has suggested that there is a “good chance” the Swedish attacker could be available for selection before the end of the calendar year.
That would come as a massive boost for the North London club, who have missed his energy, creativity, and ability to unlock defenses from the right wing.
For now, Tottenham’s coaching staff have given players not involved in international duty a few days off to recharge ahead of the busy winter schedule.
Kulusevski and Udogie have used the opportunity to focus on fitness work in Dubai, maximizing the time away from competitive action.
Fans will be thrilled to see Kulusevski edging closer to a return, as his flair and technical ability have been key to Tottenham’s attacking rhythm since joining the club.
If his recovery continues on track, his comeback could not only strengthen Spurs’ attacking depth but also provide the team with renewed momentum heading into the crucial final months of the season.
