King wants Tottenham to accept big-money bid for player then sign Aston Villa ace with money

Bryan King is advising Tottenham to attempt to recruit Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa rather than Dominic Solanke.

Under Ange Postecoglou, the former Spurs scout believes Watkins is the sort of acquisition the team needs to make to advance.

It coincides with a talkSPORT story from May 21 that said Spurs are interested in AFC Bournemouth striker Solanke and that Postecoglou is prepared to let Richarlison depart this summer.

King advised Tottenham to sell Richarlison if they got a large-money offer from Saudi Arabia.

Getting the 28-year-old away from Villa Park might be challenging, particularly since Unai Emery’s team recently defeated Spurs in the UEFA Champions League.

Trying is harmless, however.

Watkins would be a genuine declaration of intent, but Solanke would be a great addition.
