King makes £60m ‘Mad’ Tottenham transfer claim with Levy backed to negotiate Pedro Neto

Bryan King expects Tottenham to enter transfer negotiations with Wolves for Pedro Neto after a £60million price tag was quoted for the forward.

The ex-Spurs scout believes the 24-year-old would improve Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

It comes after a report from talkSPORT (21 May) revealed that Spurs are interested in Neto, with Wolves expected to consider offers around the £60million mark.

But King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – claims that Daniel Levy could look to negotiate a lower fee.

“Neto has certainly done well at Wolves,” King said.

“But at that kind of money, I would expect Levy to try and negotiate the price down.

“It seems to be fantasy football gone mad at the moment with some of these fees which are being quoted.”

Ange Postecoglou could benefit from the arrival of Pedro Neto at Tottenham

Neto would certainly bring quality to the Tottenham squad.

He impressed for Gary O’Neil’s Wolves side last season, registering nine assists in 20 Premier League matches.

Spurs need upgrades out wide, and Neto could be the answer.

However, the Portugal international spent a significant amount of time on the sidelines during the 2023/24 campaign.

That will come as a concern to Levy and Spurs, who are unlikely to entertain an offer of £60million.
