Footage shows James Maddison’s drastic reaction to getting unwanted Tottenham award from player

Tottenham and trophies do not generally go together, so when James Maddison won an unexpected one, the joy rapidly faded from his face.

Tottenham’s social team gave out a variety of prizes to players when they arrived for training, including best hair, worst dressed, and most glued to their phone.

Emerson Royal won the award for worst dressed, while Radu Dragusin won the finest hair award after voting for himself.

While others accepted their jokey accolades in stride, Maddison did not look to be pleased with his particular title – biggest diva.

After accepting the prize at Tottenham’s training complex lobby, he said, “I am going to need to know who voted for that!”

As he walked by his colleagues in the changing room, Maddison stated, “Sorry, lads, I’ll stop being a diva.”

It elicited a response from his colleagues, who voted him the biggest diva at the awards event, and someone can be heard asking the England star what he felt about winning.

Another voice was subsequently heard stating, “Your reaction is giving diva.”

Angry Ange Postecoglou approaches Tottenham Hotspur supporter as debate goes viral after Manchester City’s defeat.
After joining for Spurs in the summer, the 27-year-old was instantly anointed one of the club’s ‘captains’ by Ange Postecoglou.

While injuries have hampered his first season, he has still scored four goals and provided nine assists in 28 Premier League outings for Tottenham.

His presence also aided Tottenham’s transition from a defensive-minded approach under Antonio Conte to a more offensive one under Postecoglou.
