Is Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie available this weekend? Spurs suspension update

Due to an increasing number of Premier League injuries, Tottenham Hotspur may have to play without Destiny Udogie when they meet Everton this weekend.

As Premier League injuries and bans mount ahead of the holiday season, Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie will not be available for selection on Saturday when Spurs visit Everton.

Left-back In the first half of Spurs’ 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest last weekend, Udogie received his fifth ticket of the season. Although he was fortunate to avoid a second yellow card, he now faces a ban for accruing too many bookings.

Ben Davies would continue to play centrally as Ange Postecoglou selects Emerson Royal at left back in place of the injured Italian international. The Australian manager made this choice in November, during Udogie’s previous suspension against Wolves.

Udogie will only get a one-game suspension if he receives five yellow cards in the Premier League before the midway point of the season.

He will then be eligible for selection once again, therefore Postecoglou should be able to choose the full-back for the December 28 trip to Brighton.

His comeback will undoubtedly be appreciated with a starting position at the Amex Stadium, since the Spurs roster is presently thin.

Postecoglou said, “It’s an issue but it’s not so much discipline,” during his match against Nottingham Forest.

Although Udogie has been banned twice this season, the Tottenham manager doesn’t think it will be a major problem.

“The guys are having to adapt to learn to play our football without crossing a line but I loved the commitment they showed.”

Ninety-six percent of Fantasy Premier League players who have Udogie on their roster will be disappointed by his availability difficulties. With 45 points so far this season, he is now Spurs’ eighth-highest scorer according to the official FPL website.
