What source in Italy is now saying about Radu Dragusin signing for Tottenham

Tottenham is eyeing the swift acquisition of a new centre-back. In recent times, the north London club has been linked to players like Tosin Adarabioyo and Jean-Clair Todibo. However, current indications point towards Radu Dragusin as Spurs’ primary target.

Reports suggest that Dragusin, the Genoa centre-back, has reached an agreement on personal terms with Tottenham. The next step for Spurs involves negotiating a deal directly with Serie A’s Genoa.

Fortunately, securing an agreement with Genoa seems likely. According to sources cited by ESPN, Tottenham could potentially sign Dragusin for a fee ranging between £20-25m.

The prospect of acquiring a 21-year-old centre-back performing well in Serie A for £25m appears to be an enticing bargain.

Considering today’s Premier League spending, this amount is relatively modest, and Tottenham shouldn’t encounter significant hurdles in meeting Genoa’s valuation for Dragusin, should they decide to proceed.

However, whether Tottenham proceeds with the Dragusin deal remains uncertain. Todibo remains an alternative option, presenting a potentially more complex but arguably better signing for the club.

Given Dragusin’s availability at a reasonable fee, Spurs might face competition from other Premier League clubs keen on securing a promising young centre-back at such an attractive price.

Beyond Tottenham’s interest, Napoli has also shown interest in the Romanian player. Dragusin might explore the possibility of staying in Italy, should he decide to remain settled there.

The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Dragusin suggests an escalating storyline, hinting that Tottenham might not delay their move for long to secure the player’s services.

Hence, it wouldn’t be surprising if Dragusin becomes Tottenham’s inaugural signing in this transfer window.
