He is a real joker: Timo Werner says £75k/week Tottenham player is the funniest in the dressing room
The current form of Tottenham Hotspur is very different from what it was last year.
The Spurs have been much better on and off the game since Ange Postecoglou took over.
Tottenham set the early pace in the Premier League and are still very much in the running for a top-four spot.
As of right now, the Spurs locker room seems to be very united, which is important if they want to perform well on the game.
Postecoglou has also not been slow to make transfers, even though Tottenham was busy in both the summer and January.
Tottenham added Timo Werner to their team to help their attack, which was a much-needed move.
In what ways has Timo Werner done well at Tottenham so far?
Tottenham got the German player for a good price; they signed him on loan with a stated £15 million chance to buy.
He has been great for Spurs so far, scoring two goals and setting up three others in 12 games.
The Tottenham marketing team talked to Werner on Wednesday for their “Getting to Know” piece.
One question they asked the 27-year-old was who he thought was the funniest person in the staff room.
Werner chose Fraser Forster because, in his words, “Fraser is a funny guy, he’s a real joker.”
“I think a lot of our guys are loud and like to laugh, but Fraser is the main one.”
Who else has said that Fraser Forster is the funniest person in the locker room?
Werner isn’t the only Spurs player who has said that Forster is the best person in the team.
Another player who used to play for Celtic and said the same thing a month ago was Mohamed Elyounoussi, who joked that the £75,000-a-week star was a “class clown.”
In 2019, he told the Scottish Sun, “Fraser is a really good guy.”
It was the same for us in the end. I talked to him a lot at Southampton.” Down there, he was always very happy.
“He talked a lot and told a few jokes. I’d say he was cute.” This guy is still the same.
“Fraser is a good custodian.” He was the best custodian I ever saw at Southampton. “He’s great when he’s in top form.”
It’s great to hear that Forster’s funny nature is getting praise. It’s clear that Spurs are gaining from having people like that in the locker room.
