Graham Roberts delivers honest Ange Postecoglou verdict after Tottenham confirm his sacking
Tottenham Hotspur have made the decision to sack Ange Postecoglou despite his Europa League-winning efforts just a few weeks ago.
Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal comes just over a fortnight after he guided Tottenham to European glory, giving the club their first trophy since 2008.
However, Postecoglou has paid the price for a dismal domestic campaign, with Spurs finishing a lowly 17th in the Premier League table.
Graham Roberts, one of the stars of Tottenham’s previous European triumph, has now paid tribute to the Australian in the wake of his dismissal.
Graham Roberts says Tottenham fans will ‘never forget’ Ange Postecoglou
Roberts, who lifted the UEFA Cup with Tottenham in 1984, took to X with a heartfelt message for Postecoglou.

“Thank you Ange – you changed many fans life’s in Bilbao,” wrote Roberts.
“Many memories all of us will have with our kids and friends forever.View Tweet
“A great man and remembered as a man who won us this Europa cup which we had not done since 1984!
“You got us over the line and we will never forget you.”
Roberts then posted: “Thanks Big Ange, we won’t forget.”
“I can confirm that talks have been ongoing with potential replacements for weeks,” Bailey said.
“And our information is that Brentford’s Thomas Frank has emerged as the leading contender in the last couple of weeks.
“As we reported, Daniel Levy has been impressed with Frank during conversations.”
These include former boss Mauricio Pochettino, along with Roberto De Zerbi, Andoni Iraola, Oliver Glasner, Kieran McKenna, and Marco Silva.
