Explicit request of Postecoglou: Tottenham could go about signing within days, Manager keen on player
Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly a “big suitor” to sign Roony Bardghji, according to Tipsbladet last week.
In the running for the winger, who has scored 11 goals in 30 appearances this season, is Inter Milan as well.
The 18-year-old has reportedly caught the interest of many teams, including Inter, Juventus, Napoli, and Tottenham, according to InterLive.it.
The player is on Piero Ausilio’s list of targets for Inter, but he hasn’t taken any action toward a possible trade yet.
James Maddison, Pedro Porro, Son Heung-min, and a number of other clients are served by the British agency CAA Base, which is in charge of managing the Sweden U21 international. The Nerazzurri have solid connections both with Copenhagen and the agency.
It’s been reported that a payment of around €10 million is required to persuade the Danish team to let go of Bardghji. Although Ausilio wants to sign a loan agreement with a buyout clause, Inter will have “strong competition” from other teams.
Spurs might “get serious” about signing the attacker as early as January, according to the source. The North London club has previously shown interest in him, citing Ange Postecoglou’s “explicit request.”
The manager “likes the most” the Copenhagen star, and Tottenham is trying to bolster their assault. The Spurs administration is skeptical about Bardghji’s physical makeup, however. He is “short [1.73m] and skinny,” according to him.
Since joining Spurs, Bryan Gil [1.75m] has failed to make an impression, and rumors have it that they don’t want to make the same mistake again with Bardghji.
