No way for him: Doctor confirms 23yr old will now be out for weeks
Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar has provided an update on the condition of Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon, shedding light on the ongoing challenges he faces.
Throughout the season, Tottenham has grappled with numerous injuries, with nearly 21 players sidelined at various points.
While the squad seemed to be nearing full strength recently, setbacks for Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie have cast doubts on their availability for the upcoming game against Wolves.
Unfortunately for Spurs, Ryan Sessegnon won’t be an option for the Wolves match or subsequent fixtures. Sessegnon has been sidelined since the summer due to a hamstring injury sustained during training.
Although he made a brief return to action against Burnley last month, his playing time was limited, and he suffered another injury soon after, keeping him out of contention since then.
Dr. Brar, in conversation with Tottenham News, revealed that Sessegnon is caught in a cycle of re-injury, presenting a significant challenge in his recovery process.
He emphasized the importance of addressing potential contributing factors such as sleep patterns, stress levels, nutrition, and strength training to break this cycle.
Despite Sessegnon’s undeniable talent and potential, his recurring injuries have hindered his ability to fulfill expectations at Tottenham.
With his prolonged absence and uncertain prognosis, there are concerns about his future at the club.
Given the circumstances, it’s plausible that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy may consider offloading Sessegnon and seeking a replacement left-back, especially to cover for the absence of Destiny Udogie.
While Sessegnon’s departure would be regrettable, it may be a necessary step for both the player and the club to address ongoing challenges and ensure squad depth in crucial positions.
