Disappointed: Ange Postecoglou says £50M Tottenham player is not happy
Due to a knee injury, Richarlison will be out for several weeks, according to Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou.
Richarlison will be sidelined for three to four weeks, according to the Spurs boss, who also acknowledged that his player is “disappointed” with this most recent setback.
Following his recovery from surgery to address a persistent groin problem, Richarlison has been playing fantastically for Tottenham.
Nine of the goals scored by the Brazil international in his 22 Premier League outings have come in his past ten games.
But in Tottenham’s most recent match, a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Richarlison sustained an injury.
Richarlison, a standout for Tottenham, will be out for “three to four” weeks.
In an interview with BBC Sport on Friday, Postecoglou stated that his player won’t be returning anytime soon. Spurs will play Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Ahead of the Premier League match at White Hartlane on Saturday at 3pm, the Tottenham manager also gave an update on other Spurs players.
Postecoglou stated, “Peter is probably a week away, but Destiny (Udogie) has trained.”
“Richarlison will be out for four to six weeks.” He suffered a knee injury in the previous game, and since Sess is out, they are still short by a few points.
“We’ve had a disappointing season, but Richy is unhappy because he’s been a major contribution.
It’s difficult with Sess. He has put a lot of effort into returning, and it is usually more difficult when it occurs in a sequence of events.
Richarlison has been in incredible form, so it’s unfortunate to learn that he will be sidelined for a considerable amount of time.
With three games left before the international break, let’s hope the £50 million player is fully recovered for Tottenham’s March 30 home match against Luton Town.
